4,866 SF 2-Floor Building Addition with 2,546 SF 1st Floor Interior Construction

6,663 SF Occupied and Phased Renovation, including CT Scan

6-Phase building expansion and interior renovation project.  The project consisted of the construction of a two-story building addition and four phases of interior renovation.  During the entire project, the facility was open and fully operational.  Since the nature of the business was the care of cancer patients, thorough coordination of every phase took place with the staff to insure zero-impact to patients or to the operation of business.  Exterior work included a 2600 +/- SF footprint addition with steel super-structure, concrete pan floors, brick exterior, steel canopy accents, and perimeter window walls.  With no material or product specifications (due to age of building), Warren-Hanks Construction Company was able to work with the architect to create an exact match to the 20-year old exterior canopy and curtain-wall details.  The interior construction consisted of new offices, restrooms, break rooms, a CT scan room, examination rooms, infusion rooms, a new reception area, a lab, and testing rooms.  The design scope and schedule were both challenging.  Through weekly on-site meetings, Warren-Hanks Construction and the subcontractor team worked very closely with LeVino Jones, Zenardo Architects, and the owner to stay ahead of design and construction issues.  The final product reflected the designer’s and owner’s intent with minimal effect on operation of the clinic.
